About us  

AlpaNano provides tailored services for generating and selecting VHHs from large immune libraries using biopanning (phage display) and screening techniques. Our protocols are optimized to select VHHs that specifically bind to preselected epitopes, such as enzyme active sites or protein-protein interaction sites. Once selected, the VHHs can be produced, purified and labelled (e.g., biotinylation, fluorescent labeling, etc), engineered (e.g., creation of bivalent/bispecific VHHs, improved stability, etc) and characterized (e.g., affinity, specificity, epitope binning, stability, etc) through our complementary  CIP platforms (Protein Factory and Robotein).

WORKFLOW  

The workflow to obtain VHHs starts with the immunization of alpacas/llamas with the antigen, followed by the extraction of peripheral blood for white blood cells isolation and total RNA extraction to synthesize cDNA.
